SHIPBOUND

Good thing we like our accommodations!

75ce9380-72f1-11ec-ae10-21cb1285f7a3.jpg Ah, yes, Cartagena, that Columbian port bursting with colonial beauty, where there was a splendid celebration, a bando, of dance, music and food last night. We didn’t go. We were dealing with an accident. The sea was rough that night; when the ship lurched, Bill grabbed the wall to steady himself. But the wall molding came off in his hands and a seven-foot beam fell and landed him against our desk before he hit the floor. His side and back are badly bruised and abraded, and he hurts! The ship’s medical crew have been very attentive, and our butler helps him move and tries to tempt him with foods (sometimes successfully!). Ice and sleep help. Thank God for good books and movies. The only US TV news we get is FOX, so we aren’t watching, which is a blessing in itself! This may be the longest cruise from which we never disembark.

Oh, poor Bill! Hope and pray for healing!

by Taffy Wilcox

Ouch! Is there a medical massage person whom might soften Bill's bruised muscles.
What a crummy way to start. If all else fails, find a comfy lounge chair and watch the world of South America go by.

If it helps you to feel glad, we are in a very cold spell. My car was reluctant to start this morning.

Yikes... that hurts just reading this. I'm guessing you (Hope) will have the honors of presiding at the first service on Sunday morning. I hope that the medical team can provide all the treatment that is needed to bring healing and comfort to Bill. Gosh, I miss you two!

We hope you're feeling better every day, Bill!
Take good care!
Love,
Julie and Bryan
