WHAT DO WE DO ALL DAY?
Glimpses of shipboard life
13.02.2022 - 18.02.2022
71 °F
Having left the utter delights of Tristan da Cuñha, we are again sailing sailing over the bounding main. We are four days from our next port, Cape Town, South Africa. (This is the same length of time it would take for someone on Tristan to get to the nearest hospital.). We love these sea days when the sun sparkles and the water is clear blue and birds swoop by and shipboard life amuses us. Today's morning lecture was on the Laws of the Seas; this afternoon we will learn about the ecology of Africa deserts (and there was a cooking demo on making 2-s desserts). The Sunday bulletins and sermon are stacked in a neat pile.
We send photos of various activities: a Super Bowl party
a black and white dinner with two guests in elaborate costume; we wore clerical collars and black suits
Trivia (played daily)
and a glorious sunset.
